- Rapidly cooling the wort: this is a 50ft chunk of 1/2 inch stainless tubing, the 1/2 inch pipe has lots of surface area and with a medium to moderate flow rate you can take the heat out of five gallons in a few minutes. This is much better than an hour or more in the refrigerator once kegged.
- Easy to use and clean: making them a convenient option for homebrewers; easy to wash any leftover debris that could affect the quality of the beer
- High quality for chilling: stainless steel coil for wort chilling can improve the clarity of the final beer by promoting the "cold break"
- Faster and efficient to pitching temperatures: stainless steel coils can bring the wort to pitching temperatures in as little as 15 minutes, saving time on brew day and allowing homebrewers to move on to the next step of the brewing process more quickly.
- Diversity of uses: many possibilities for this Gepphill brand coil of 1/2-inch by 50-foot stainless steel tubing. You can chill anything you can push through the tubing, not just wort. Hook it to a circulation pump and your ice bath tub and fill the surrounding bucket with more ice, for a quick chill down.
