Help birds survive bitter winter nights
Cold, windy nights threaten birds’ survival, robbing them of calories and energy. During a cold night, birds can lose between 12 to 15 percent of their body weight. Help the birds stay warm!
Our roosting house provides your birds with a draft-free shelter, where they can escape from wet and cold conditions. Since the entrance is at the bottom, the warm air rises to the top where birds huddle together to conserve body heat. This allows your birds to save their energy and survive another frigid cold winter’s night. In spring, convert into a nesting box by taking out the ladder and flipping the front panel. Made from Eastern white pine. 7 x 9 x 13 inches tall. Includes two screws for mounting to any flat surface.
- 1-1/2 inch entry hole with metal portal protector
- Enjoy watching more birds seek shelter in your yard
- Includes roosting ladder, which can be removed for nesting season
- Easy to convert into a nesting box in the spring
- Made in the USA, available exclusively at Duncraft
