Prunus persica var. neupersica 'Morton'
With its sweet pink blooms in spring, and luscious fruits in summer, Morton nectarine is your new best friend! When it comes to flavor, the Morton truly shines. The luscious nectarines it produces are renowned for their exceptional taste and juicy, melt-in-your-mouth texture. Whether enjoyed fresh off the tree, used in baking, or transformed into delectable preserves, these semi-freestone nectarines will undoubtedly become the highlight of your culinary creations. Not only does the skin color up a deep red, but the white flesh is also shot through with red veining and blushing. Stunning!
With its moderate growth rate, the Morton reaches a manageable size, making maintenance and harvest a breeze. It typically grows to a height of around 12 to 15 feet (3.7 to 4.6 meters), which can be shortened easily with regular summer pruning. The tree's sturdy branches are capable of supporting the weight of the abundant fruit. Good peach leaf curl resistance also makes Morton a winner!
