This compact steel pin lock, plated in aluminum, is designed for older, metal-framed windows, typically single-pane with thin sashes. It's the shortest model available, featuring a storage holder and a connecting chain to prevent loss. It secures sliding sashes in closed or ventilating positions, preventing horizontal and vertical movement. Installation requires a 1/8 inch drill bit, with caution to avoid breaking glass. Note: it's designed for older style windows. Similar longer models include U-9858 (2-3/8 inch) and U-11070 (2-3/4 inch). Required tools include safety glasses, measuring tape, pencil, screwdriver, drill, and drill bits. Instructions and fasteners are included.
