One More Day Hardcover – March 31, 2026

One More Day is a transcendent love story and redemption tale that crosses decades, life, death, and divine intervention. In 2018, Tyrone “Hot Shot” Jackson, a retired NBA legend and philanthropist, watches his brilliant wife Olivia Marie Davis, a formidable attorney, succumb to a rare autoimmune disease. In a moment of unbearable grief, after collapsing on a basketball court, Tyrone prays desperately for “One More Day” with her, as he views his body from above as his spirit leaves it’s former home of 70 years. His prayer is answered in a way he never imagined: he wakes up in 1968, in his 20-year-old body, on the day of a championship game that once defined his youth. Guided by a celestial guardian, Joy Warren, Tyrone learns he has 24 hours to win the heart of the young, fiercely intelligent Olivia—a college freshman who sees him only as a cocky basketball star. If he can convince her he’s her future, he will earn a lifetime with her.But the day is fraught with challenges: Olivia is stubborn and focused on her dreams; Tyrone’s borrowed youth is fading hour by hour; his best friend Bobby is being blackmailed by a small-time mobster, Tony Valdez, to throw the game; and Tyrone must also confront and heal old family wounds with his parents, Eugene and Claudia. As the championship game unfolds, Tyrone plays not just for victory, but to cover a point spread that will free Bobby from the mob’s grip. With his body failing and time running out, Tyrone leads a breathtaking comeback, winning the game—and securing the spread—in the final seconds. In the joyous aftermath, however, Tony’s panicked order for retaliation is carried out. A hitman attacks, and Tyrone throws himself in front of Bobby, taking a bullet to save his friend’s life—sacrificing his chance at a 1968 future with Olivia. He awakens back in 2018, The miracle of his one day in 1968 has rewritten reality: Olivia is alive and by his side, his family is gathered around him, and—most miraculously—Bobby Will is there, alive and well, the tragic fate that once awaited him in 1968 now erased.Tyrone’s prayer for “One More Day” was answered not with a single day, but with a redeemed lifetime—a second chance born from a single day of courage, love, and sacrifice. He holds his grandson close, surrounded by the full, beautiful life his one more day ultimately secured. Read more
