Hand-mixed for Umami Mart by the Oaktown Spice Shop, this trio of Japanese spices is ideal for creating many Japan-inspired dishes.
Our Shichimi Togarashi features black and white sesame seeds, poppy seeds, chili flakes, orange zest, sansho, and nori. Sprinkle it on your ramen, udon, and other noodles, or grilled meats and vegetables.
We created the essence of savoriness with our Umami Salt, an easy to use spice blend. Try it as a rub. We also like it on eggs, fried rice, sandwiches, fried chicken, and pretty much everything else that goes in our mouths. Go gangbusters with glutamates without the MSG!
Japanese Curry Powder is a yellow curry powder with a wonderful savory aroma. Use it to make Japanese curry sauce from scratch to eat over steamed rice, ramen, or udon noodles.Try it in curried chiken or egg salad Sprinkle it onto chicken karaage.
