- AUTHENTIC WWII US ARMY AIRBORNE REPRODUCTION: This is a high-quality, faithful reproduction of the iconic M1938 Lensatic Wrist Compass, a vital navigational tool used by elite U.S. Army Airborne and ground forces during the Second World War. It provides the essential historical accuracy needed by serious military uniform collectors, living history enthusiasts, and reenactors aiming for a genuine period impression, particularly of the 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions.
- SUPERIOR MAGNETO CORP MARKINGS: The compass dial features period-correct manufacturer markings, specifically "Superior Magneto Corp," adding an exceptional layer of detail and authenticity that is often missing from generic replicas. This fidelity to original wartime production specifications makes the item highly desirable for discerning collectors who prioritize historical accuracy in their equipment.
- DURABLE & FUNCTIONAL CONSTRUCTION: Crafted to mimic the original metal and composite design, this working compass features a robust casing and a non-luminous floating dial with precise cardinal directions and degree markings. The durable construction ensures longevity, whether used for rigorous field reenactments, protective storage, or static museum-quality displays.
- INTEGRATED WRIST STRAP FOR FIELD USE: Unlike standard pouch compasses, this version comes complete with a period-appropriate Leather wrist strap. This design was crucial during parachute jumps and rapid maneuvers, ensuring the compass remained secure and accessible on the soldier's wrist, just as the originals functioned during combat operations.
- ESSENTIAL GEAR FOR COLLECTORS AND EDUCATORS: Ideal for military gear display, museum exhibits, educational purposes, and WWII historical reenactment. This specific piece of equipment is a key component to completing an accurate U.S. Airborne impression from the 1940s era, serving as both a functional tool and a significant historical artifact representation.
